Local future trout bum Bryan stopped in last Saturday and we made plans to fish on Sunday. I picked Bryan up at his house and about an hour later

And after a picture back it goes

Flyfishing and the Red Sox. The kid's got it together!
In life, as in fly fishing, don't get in over your waders. |

PS: Nice little post Mike. Its a great thing you did, getting the yojnger generation into FF. I fish with a "kid" up here a lot and this summer he got his first salmon on the fly and I think I was twice as excited as he was. Nice! Duane

It seems just wrong that this young gentleman's first brown and the nice photos are being clouded by Yankee fans getting in their digs. Being a die hard Boston sports fan, and used to the baseball disappointments, I've learned not to go too far out on a limb for the Sox. So lets leave it at this.....It's a seven game series boys.. I'm hoping my fingernails and my liver hold out.
That said. GO PATS!!!!!

Howdy, Nice fish Brian! We should all fish together! Just have Mike drive 2 hours south and i'l be waiting on my porch! Lol! You wouldn't have belived what I was daydreaming about in school today. On the forum, I reached my millionth post. Mike invited me up to his shop, where he gave me five minutes to run through it and grab ANYTHING I wanted! Any way we can make that happen Mike?! See you later. Tight lines

Welcome, Bryan.
This is a great forum for fly fishing topics of discussion. You'll find that there is a range of people here from your age, to much, much older, and then my age. Although you shouldn't take what is said here too seriously, there always is a grain of truth embedded in every post.
(And here it is:) Of all the important people in your life, Mike Holt is one of the best. He pitches a woollybugger as well as Pedro; he won't leave you stranded on base in the middle of the river; and he has a key to the team's equipment locker!!

Ah, yes, Bryan, it is good to dream. From the pictures in the beginning of this thread, I see that (at least), you have one dream that you can hang on to...

I just brought this back to the top so that some of you could apologize to Bryan for the remarks you made about his Red Sox hat and dreaming.

Mike is right...Bryan Manzo's Red Sox got 'r done.
I haven't posted all week, partly due to late nights following the historic lifting of Babe's curse by some incredible ball players who called themselves "idiots". Well, now I have to admit that they made IDIOTS out of us of little faith.
Nice going, Bryan...looks like this is your year! A Brown in the bag and a penant in the pocket. What's next? Next thing you know, Bryan will be reeling in Atlantics and the Sox will win a World Series. (Oh, what a world; what a world...)

Hey Bryan, Have you ever considered going to trout camp? I know that Fisherboy and I are planning on going this spring, and you should try to also. Check out TU webpage for more info, and good luck. I would invite you to come with Austin(Fisherboy) and I this weekend, but I'm pretty sure that the Presumpscot is too far of a drive. Good Luck with those browns, I have caught many fish, but yet to get a brown. Just got my first salmon a few weeks ago, and I think Im hooked. Trout may come hard to you, but never lose faith, remember the SOX.
Caleb
