I really miss the fishing in Maine right now. Well, not the cold part. What I truly miss though, is fishing with my buddies back home.
The only way for me to 'get over it' has been to go fishing here in Florida. Here is all new territory for me and thanks to Mike and Jeremy, I'm working with Mark at the Everglades Angler www.evergladesangler.com here in Naples. I posted up a brief report on http://www.flyfishingmainerivers.com/writerpages/marshall/marshall'snotebook.htm and I'll keep posting as I fish here.

Good to hear from you Marshall, I thought of you just this morning as I was packing my gear for a trip this afternoon, a place we have fished together a few times. I guess I won't be seeing that black Dodge today. Best of luck to you, and enjoy your new waters.
Cheers, Jon

Hi Marshall Nice to here from you and hope you have a great winter down in the sunny south. The fishing looks as though it's already good. Take care and keep us forum members posted.

Marshall;
Good to hear from you! Read your report. Glad to hear you're getting settled in...
Heck, I believe my wife and I fished w/Mark a long (well not that long) ago. Snook and Reds, tough to beat...yummy too!
If you get a chance and want to fish fresh water, head up to the Ocala area...the Rainbow River in Dunellon; Silver River and Oklawaha in the Ocala area...the Santa Fe north of Gainesville.
No wading though...the gators and snakes will let you know who is boss. Beautiful paddles and fishing...

No disrespect intended, Marshall, but I am reminded of a plaque that hung on the wall of the Waterville Line Crew (The Marines of the Phone Company):
"If you can't take winter, then you don't deserve summer."
