| Have never been to St. Maarten, but I did see some bones on St. John and managed one. Check out flyfishingforum.com also- a just put in "St. Maarten" as a search and you'll get lots of info. I also recall that Flyfishing in Saltwaters had an article a couple three years ago which included St. Maarten. Bring an 8 wt and some clousers. In St. John, I caught snook, jacks, cero mackeral (like a Bonita), small 'cudas, snapper and waved at Tarpon. Definitely worth bringing the rod. |
