Question for Mike or anyone else. I currently have a Regal rotary vise but I am thinking of getting a true rotary vise in the future. I have never used one and would like to know what you can provide Mike and recommend. I like my Regal but I can see some real advantages to a true rotary. Thanks Doug |

| Thanks for the Advice stonefly. I plan on subcribing to Mikes web site once I get a rotary vise. I have seen the sample videos and they look really good. |

I upgraded from a Regal to a Renzetti Presentation 4000 and truly enjoy tying more since. The action is smooth and the cam operated jaws hold just about any size hook you want to put in it. |

mma84, Yep, Linda and I sell vises and stock them here at the store. We have the Renzetti - Traveler series ($170.00 range depending on jaw and c-clamp or base mount), Presentation series ($360.00 range) and Master vise in stock ($600.00 range) , along with Danvise ($79.00)and the Griffin Montana Mongoose ($175.00)- all rotary.
Come on over and see them I'll show you what the differences are.
My choice - Renzetti and I'm partial to the Presentation series but it's hard to beat the Traveler |

Well, a man has to have a variety of toys for variety is the spice of life and that's a safe place to look for variety - unlike other areas of life where variety can get you into trouble
However, if push came to shove I'd probably buy the Traveler - but I sure like my Presentation 3000 - it has one weakness and that is big Salt Water Hooks (the jaws just arent' made for big hooks) but it offeres more working room on small flies than any other vise I know of. |

| Mike, thanks for the advice and I look forward to you showing me the different vises. I haven't been in since I bought my new 9 weight rod in April and the reel before that back in march. I am the guy who works with Chris R. Between work and high water/rain, it makes it tough sometimes. I go into work at night this week and just see Wyman Hydro at full output every hour and shake my head but like you said in the Friday update, hit the ponds. Did really well on a central maine FFO pond last week. |
