Yeah, but you can be like me and at least make other people feel good about themselves.
And then there is the non-casters drawing where all you have to rely upon is dumb luck. How can you beat that?
Hell, breakfast at Big G's is worth the drive alone. |

| Don't forget this is coming right up. A week from tomorrow. If you can't make the casting contest, buy a non-caster's entry and support TU Trout Camp. |

K. I. - yep, I've seen you cast But don't forget the non-casting entry.
And for those of you who are going to attend don't forget it's this weekend - the 7th - here at the shop. Stop in and register and cast to win or just hang out and watch the goings on and get a non-casting entry.
One guy that was in today said he'll be back on Saturday and his plan is to win the casting and non-casting rods. He is feeling pretty good about his casting and feeling lucky as well.
If you have $15.00 you can spare to help with this program please enter and help out. The Maine TU Trout Camp is a wonderful program put on each year now since 2004 by volunteers and funded through programs like this.

Just a note to say if you go online to buy a "non-casting" entry the purchase order system is set up by default to show you will be charged tax and a shipping fee.
HOWEVER WHEN WE PROCESS YOUR CARD THE TAX AND SHIPPING WILL NOT BE INCLUDE
So if you buy a $15.00 entry don't worry you won't really be paying those extra charges. |

The winners are Craig Weaver and Greg Webber
We have winners for both the casting and non-casting categories.
The non-casting winner is Greg Webber who gets to pick a new Orvis Hydros for his new favorite fly rod.
The casting winner is a repeat - I give you Craig Weaver who again gets to pick the Orvis Helios fly rod of his choice.
Yep, that's right, Craig was our winner this year with 25 points. Yes 25 points took it this year. It was a four way tie so we had to put names in a hat and draw. The names that went in were Jim Dunbar, Craig Weaver, Craig Weaver and Craig Weaver.
That's right Craig entered 3 times and just couldn't break that 25 point barrier for a clean win. But with three out of four tickets being his he had pretty good odds.
The good part of that is his multiple entries and the single and multiple entries by many of the non-casting donors raised a whopping total of just over $1,100.00 – nice job folks. The Kennebec Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will transfer those funds to the Maine Council for the Maine TU Trout Camp. Thank you to all who helped out, and all casting and non-casting participants. |

| I had fun today even though I didn't do very well at the contest. Atleast I gave it a try. Maybe next year. |

As K.I.Joe put it : "I would come down and cast but Mike has seen my casting and knows I have little chance to win."
I have the same problem...
Sorry but I just learned about this a short time ago and didn't have time to make plans..Maybe next year!!
A good cause ! Congrats to the winners !
